Surigao FOCAS Sustainability Planning Held

The three Focal Community Assistance Scheme (FOCAS) clusters in Surigao del Norte represented by the FOCAS Management Committees of Lake Mainit Development Alliance (LMDA), Hinatuan Passage Development Alliance (HIPADA), and Siargao Islands Protected Landscapes and Seascapes (SIPLAS) and partner project implementing NGOs met in Dotties Place Hotel & Convention Center for the Surigao del Norte FOCAS Sustainability Planning workshop last May 26-29, 2009. Assessment Workshop of PACAP Assisted Livelihood/ Micro-Enterprise and NRM Projects in Lake Mainit FOCAS

A total of 22 participants are actively participating to the Assessment Workshop of PACAP Assisted Livelihood/Micro-Enterprise and NRM Projects in Lake Mainit FOCAS. Said activity was successfully conducted on October 29-30, 2008 held at San Lorenzo Ruiz Formation Center, Ampayon, Butuan City. The main objective of the assessment workshop is to capacitate the FOCAS Management Committee and Project Implementers in undertaking analysis of livelihood and natural resource management projects. PACAP – SDN FOCAS Strategies Aligned with Provincial Framework and Plan

The 21 community-based FOCAS projects funded by the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP) in Surigao del Norte and Agusan del Norte are contributing significantly to the Provincial Engagement Strategy (PES) or the Four Development Pillars of the province. This major finding highlighted the PACAP – Surigao del Norte (SDN) FOCAS Strategy Review Workshop held at Gateway Hotel in June 10, 2008. (read more)

Lake Mainit FMC attend PACAP RBME Training

 

 

Cebu City – Eleven participants from Lake Mainit FOCAS Management Committee (FMC) attended the four-day training on Results-Based Monitoring & Evaluation (RBME) with Lakbay-Aral held at Richmond Plaza Hotel, Cebu City on July 28-31, 2008. PLEASE project in Alegria deemed successful

 Alegria, Surigao del Norte - Project launching ceremony of PACAP-funded project “People’s Livelihood Efforts in Agro-forestry and Sustainable Environment” (PLEASE) was successfully conducted on July 21, 2008 at Barangay Budlingin Multi-Purpose Hall, Barangay Budlingin, Alegria, Surigao del Norte. The ceremony started with unveiling of project signage and ceremonial planting jointly exhibited by project partners who were in attendance. (read more)
