Allocation
PACAP earmarks about PhP100 Million for Surigao del Norte FOCAS areas in a period of five years. With four FOCAS Areas, the amount will be equitably distributed at PhP25 Million per FOCAS area. The FOCAS Management Committees (FMCs) had so far discussed and allocated corresponding amounts in the project components they have identified. Details of each project will be discussed in separate proposals that will be developed by FOCAS member proponents relative to the period of their implementation. The P100 Million will be allocated equally for the four FOCAS areas at P25 Million each for four and half years. A total P16 Million (P4M for each FOCAS Secretariat) will be allocated from the P100M. The remaining P84Million will be used to fund development projects.
Coverage
The FOCAS Areas covers the whole of Surigao Del Norte’s 27 municipalities and 1 city with an additional 4 municipalities from Agusan Del Norte traversing the Lake Mainit Ecosystem namely Tubay, Kitcharao, Jabonga and Santiago (a total of 32). It was agreed that the grant assistance budget for projects developed in the Agusan Del Norte side of Lake Mainit ecosystem will not be sourced from the allocation of Surigao Del Norte. Instead they will be source-out in the RAS budget of PACAP.
